Hornady 6.5 Grendel Brass Cartridge Cases (50)

Hornady 6.5 Grendel Brass Cartridge Cases (50)

The Hornady 6.5 Grendel Brass Cartridge Cases (50) provide unprimed rifle brass for handloading the 6.5 Grendel cartridge. Each pack contains 50 cases. Hornady produces its cartridge cases in smaller lots and applies strict quality standards during manufacture. The company focuses on consistent wall thickness, weight and internal capacity across cases.

Hornady measures case wall concentricity to support consistent bullet seating in the case and chamber. The company also uses pressure calibration testing to check uniform case expansion during firing. In addition, consistent case dimensions help support consistent charges and pressures during handloading. These production controls make the cases suitable for reloaders who want a consistent starting point for cartridge preparation.

6.5 Grendel Case Preparation

These cases provide a practical starting point for case preparation and loading. Before loading, inspect the cases and follow the applicable load data for the 6.5 Grendel cartridge. Proper preparation also includes checking case dimensions and condition before each loading cycle.

Hornady states that uniform wall thickness can contribute to consistent performance. Likewise, consistent case weight and internal capacity help maintain similar cartridge characteristics across a batch. Therefore, these cases suit reloaders who want Hornady brass for a 6.5 Grendel loading process.

The 50-case pack provides a complete batch for initial preparation. Hornady identifies this product as item 86283, while the bulk version uses item 86283B and contains 3,000 cases. This distinction helps identify the correct package quantity when comparing standard and bulk case options.

For other cartridge sizes, the Brass Cases category includes rifle and pistol brass from several manufacturers. Use the cartridge-specific case with the intended chamber and applicable loading data. Keeping cases matched to the correct cartridge specification is important during resizing, trimming, priming and subsequent loading operations.
