The Teslong borescope NTG100H 26″ Rigid USB provides visual inspection inside rifle barrels during cleaning and maintenance. In addition, its 26-inch rigid stainless steel probe reaches through long rifle barrels. Because the probe measures 5 mm in diameter, it suits .22 calibre and larger barrels. For example, the inch scale helps indicate camera depth during an inspection.

The USB connection works with Android devices, Windows PCs and Apple OSX systems. Therefore, users can connect the borescope to a compatible device without a separate monitor. Furthermore, the camera provides 1280 × 720 resolution and a 70° field of view. In addition, six adjustable high-intensity LEDs illuminate the bore during inspection.

The rigid probe provides direct control while the camera moves through the barrel. As a result, users can inspect the bore during cleaning without relying only on external inspection. Moreover, the fixed-focus camera provides a depth of field from 0.4 to 0.6 inches. Because this is a close-range camera, the specified focus range suits internal barrel inspection.

The NTG100H also includes three 5 mm side-view mirrors. For example, a side-view mirror can provide an alternative view of accessible barrel surfaces. In addition, the supplied mirrors give users different options when inspecting the inside of a barrel.

The probe carries an IP67 rating under IEC 60529. According to Teslong, this rating provides dust protection and allows temporary water immersion to 1 metre for up to 30 minutes. However, the borescope is an inspection tool rather than a dimensional measuring instrument.

The 60-inch data cable provides useful reach between the barrel and connected device. Furthermore, the camera can provide visual information about fouling, deposits and visible surface conditions. Therefore, it can support inspection before or after normal cleaning procedures. Instead, it should be used as a visual aid alongside established barrel maintenance practices.
