Veldt CuBuster Copper Remover

Veldt CuBuster Copper Remover provides targeted cleaning for heavy copper fouling inside rifle and sidearm barrels. The formula targets stubborn copper deposits that can build up when firearms receive infrequent cleaning. A blue indicator on the cleaning patch shows when the solvent reacts with copper in the bore. The light tropical scent also makes the cleaning process less harsh on the senses.

CuBuster suits AR rifles, bolt-action rifles, revolvers, pistols and older or neglected firearms with heavy copper fouling. However, use it only for its intended purpose. The solvent reacts with copper, brass and nickel, so avoid brass components and finishes made from those metals. In particular, do not use CuBuster to clean cartridge cases. Instead, use a cleaner designed for brass.

First, secure and unload the firearm before cleaning. Wet three patches with CuBuster and push them through the barrel. Run the patches slowly so the solvent has time to react with the bore surface. Next, soak a nylon brush with CuBuster and make 15 passes through the bore. Do not use a brass brush. Then wet another three patches with CuBuster and run them through the barrel.

Heavy Copper Bore Cleaning

Allow the solvent to work for three minutes after the second set of patches. Do not leave CuBuster inside the firearm overnight. After three minutes, run dry patches through the bore until they collect no visible residue at the barrel tip. Before storage, dampen a patch with Veldt GT150 Gun Oil and run it through the bore. This helps limit rust and dust during storage. Finally, run a clean, dry patch through the firearm before use to prevent obstructions.

For heavily fouled barrels, a nylon brush can help remove remaining copper deposits. If copper lines remain after cleaning, inspect the bore and use an appropriate copper brush or nylon brush where necessary. If the barrel shows damage, consult a qualified gunsmith. Also, wipe any cleaner from stocks and external finishes immediately after a spill. CuBuster targets bore fouling rather than firearm finishes.

Furthermore, the formula contains no acetone or ammonia and offers biodegradable cleaning chemistry. Always test the product on the relevant barrel and coating before application. Keep the product away from children and do not use it for human or animal consumption. Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
