IOSSO Bore Cleaner

IOSSO Bore Cleaner is a concentrated paste for removing difficult fouling from firearm bores. The IOSSO Bore Cleaner removes copper, lead, carbon burn, powder fouling, plastic wad residue and surface rust. Therefore, it provides a controlled cleaning option for several common deposits found during firearm maintenance.

The paste formula stays where you apply it instead of running into surrounding areas. As a result, it allows controlled application during bore cleaning. Furthermore, IOSSO describes the formula as non-corrosive and non-flammable.

For routine cleaning, apply the paste sparingly to a suitable bore brush. Next, work the brush through the bore according to the firearm and brush manufacturer’s instructions. Continue with clean, dry patches until the patches show no further signs of loosened fouling.

IOSSO recommends using the cleaner with its Eliminator Brushes and Triple Action Oil Solution. In addition, the manufacturer’s cleaning system uses the oil solution before and after the paste. This approach helps loosen deposits before cleaning and prepares the bore for the final maintenance step.

The paste works well against carbon burn around the throat area of a rifle chamber. Moreover, it removes copper and lead fouling along with powder residue. It also removes plastic wad residue and surface rust, making it suitable for rifles, pistols and shotguns.

Because the product is a concentrated paste, it does not spill or drip like a liquid cleaner. Consequently, application remains more controlled during firearm maintenance. The bio-based formula uses plant extracts, and IOSSO states that the product carries USDA Certified Bio-Based status.

Cleaning and Application
