Lyman Case Prep Multitool Features

The Lyman Case Prep Multitool combines several manual cartridge case preparation tools in one compact, double-ended handle. The set provides tools for primer pocket cleaning, primer pocket reaming, and inside and outside case-mouth deburring.

The knurled handle separates in the middle and stores the accessories inside. In addition, both handle ends accept threaded tool heads. As a result, the user can keep two tools fitted at the same time.

The compact design also keeps the individual accessories together between loading sessions. Furthermore, the tool provides several common case preparation functions without requiring a separate handle for each accessory.

The set includes large and small primer pocket cleaners. It also includes large and small primer pocket reamers. Therefore, the user can select the appropriate tool for the primer pocket size.

The outside deburring tool removes burrs from the outside of the case mouth. Meanwhile, the VLD inside deburring tool prepares the inside edge of the case mouth.

Lyman Case Prep Multitool for Manual Case Preparation

The Lyman Case Prep Multitool provides several manual operations used during cartridge case preparation. First, the user can clean primer pockets before seating primers.

Next, the primer pocket reamers provide a separate tool for appropriate primer pocket reaming work. The large and small versions allow the user to select the correct size for the primer pocket.

The outside deburring tool addresses the outside edge of the case mouth. In contrast, the VLD tool works on the inside edge.

Together, these accessories cover several common preparation tasks. However, the multitool does not replace a case trimmer, case-length gauge, or other cartridge-specific preparation equipment.

Lyman Case Prep Multitool Storage Handle

The knurled handle separates at the centre to store the individual accessories. In addition, each end has a threaded connection for a tool head.

This arrangement allows two accessories to remain fitted during use. At the same time, the handle keeps the remaining accessories together for storage.

Primer Pocket Cleaners and Reamers

The set contains both large and small primer pocket cleaners. These tools remove residue from primer pockets during case preparation.

The large and small primer pocket reamers provide separate tools for primer pocket reaming. Therefore, the user can choose the appropriate accessory for the primer pocket being prepared.

Case-Mouth Deburring Tools

The outside deburring tool prepares the outer edge of the case mouth. Meanwhile, the VLD inside deburring tool prepares the inner edge.

As a result, the set covers both sides of the case mouth. This makes the multitool useful for manual preparation before subsequent loading operations.

The tool does not perform powered case trimming. Therefore, users who need powered trimming or additional preparation functions can compare it with the Lyman Case Prep Xpress.
