Veldt Carbon Attack Bore Cleaner

Veldt Carbon Attack Bore Cleaner provides targeted chemical cleaning for heavy carbon fouling inside rifle, shotgun and sidearm barrels. The solvent attacks carbon residue from different sources, including baked carbon deposits and fine carbon particles. Its formulation also offers a citrus odour during cleaning.

Carbon Attack targets carbon, soot and powder fouling. It works across AR platforms, bolt-action rifles, revolver cylinders, black powder firearms and older firearms with heavy fouling. In addition, the cleaner can help with carbon fouling in shotgun chokes. Therefore, it suits bore cleaning where heavy carbon requires more attention.

Heavy Carbon Bore Cleaning

First, secure and unload the firearm before cleaning. Wet three patches with Carbon Attack and push them slowly through the barrel. This gives the solvent time to react with the bore surface. Next, soak a nylon brush with Carbon Attack and make 10–15 passes through the bore.

Then wet four more patches with Carbon Attack and run them through the barrel. Allow the solvent to work for five minutes. For extreme fouling, extend the treatment time. After that, continue with treated patches until they leave no visible residue at the barrel tip. Finish with two dry patches.

Before storage, apply a suitable Veldt gun oil to a patch and run it through the bore. This helps protect the barrel against rust and dust. Finally, run a clean patch through the firearm before use. This step helps prevent cleaning residue or other obstructions from remaining in the bore.

For example, Carbon Attack can address heavy carbon around carbon rings, crown build-up and hardened deposits inside barrels. It can also assist with carbon fouling in shotgun chokes. However, always test the product on the relevant barrel and coating before wider application. As a result, you can check material compatibility before treating the full component.

Furthermore, the formula contains no acetone or ammonia. It is also biodegradable. Keep the cleaner away from children and do not use it for human or animal consumption. Store the bottle in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
