The Hornady 14pce Bullet Comparator Set is a precision reloading tool for measuring bullets and loaded rounds from the ogive rather than the bullet tip. It includes the Lock-N-Load Bullet Comparator body and all 14 interchangeable inserts.

Because bullet tips can vary in shape and length, measurements taken from the tip can vary between rounds. Instead, the comparator uses the ogive as a consistent reference point. As a result, reloaders can make more repeatable measurements when checking seating depth and loaded-round dimensions.

The Hornady 14pce Bullet Comparator Set attaches to the blade of a compatible caliper. The selected insert contacts the bullet ogive, while the caliper provides the measurement.

Furthermore, the complete set includes 14 inserts covering bullet diameters from .172 to .458 calibre. Therefore, the set provides much wider calibre coverage than the 7-piece basic set.
