Lee Priming Tool Kit

The Lee Priming Tool Kit is a hand-held priming system for seating primers into cartridge cases during reloading. It combines the New Auto Prime with a molded storage box and eight popular priming-tool shell holders.

Furthermore, the kit keeps the tool and shell holders together in one storage case. As a result, it provides a compact setup for reloaders who work with several cartridge types.

Lee Priming Tool Kit Features

The New Auto Prime uses separate small and large priming assemblies and a folding primer tray. In addition, the tray includes a built-in flipping surface that helps orient primers during loading.

The kit includes eight priming-tool shell holders: numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12 and 19. According to Lee, these holders cover more than 130 different cartridges. Therefore, the kit provides broad cartridge coverage without requiring a separate holder for every cartridge.

The molded storage box holds the priming tool and shell holders together. Furthermore, it has space for additional shell holders, allowing the setup to expand as the reloader adds cartridges.

Lee Priming Tool Kit for Reloading

The hand-held design allows the user to prime cases away from the reloading press. Consequently, priming can form a separate stage of case preparation.

The tool uses dedicated priming-tool shell holders rather than standard press shell holders. Therefore, reloaders should select the correct holder for the cartridge being prepared. Lee provides a broad range of additional priming-tool shell holders for other cartridge types.

Important

Lee warns that Federal brand large primers can cause the entire primer tray to explode with sufficient force to cause serious and painful injuries. Lee recommends feeding these primers individually using the single-primer option. Always follow Lee’s current safety instructions when handling primers.
