Product Description

The Akra Oryx 6-36×56 FFP MRAD Grey is a first focal plane riflescope designed for precision shooting, long-range applications, competition and hunting. It combines 6–36x magnification with a 56mm objective lens for demanding shooting distances.

At 6x, the scope provides a wider field of view for target acquisition and field use. At higher magnification, the 36x setting provides greater target detail for long-range shooting. As a result, the Oryx provides a versatile magnification range for both range and field applications.

In addition, the 56mm objective lens works with the optical system to provide a detailed sight picture across the magnification range. The scope uses ED-X glass and fully multi-coated lenses to provide high resolution, colour contrast and light transmission.

Furthermore, the Oryx features a 34mm main tube and 0.1 MRAD adjustment clicks. Therefore, shooters can make precise elevation and windage corrections when setting up for different shooting distances.

The first focal plane design keeps the reticle’s subtensions consistent throughout the magnification range. As a result, the same reticle references remain available from 6x through to 36x.

Akra Oryx 6-36×56 FFP MRAD Reticle

The PN-001 FFP MRAD reticle provides a clean aiming system for precision shooting and long-range applications. In addition, it uses 0.2 MRAD subtensions for elevation and windage references.

The reticle features a fine 0.08 MRAD floating centre dot for precise aiming. Furthermore, the open sides keep the central sight picture clear while providing useful correction references.

The reticle also provides 3 MRAD of negative elevation. Therefore, the design offers additional holdover reference without placing a dense grid across the entire sight picture.

Because the reticle sits in the first focal plane, its subtensions maintain their relationship with the target as magnification changes. As a result, the PN-001 remains suitable for holdovers and corrections throughout the 6–36x range.

MRAD Turrets and Zero Stop

The elevation and windage turrets use a 0.1 MRAD click value. In addition, the elevation system features a Zero Stop for returning to the established zero.

The scope provides a 27 MRAD elevation and windage adjustment range. Therefore, the available travel provides useful correction capacity for long-range shooting.

Furthermore, the parallax adjustment extends from 10 yards to infinity. As a result, the shooter can adjust the optic for close-range setup as well as extended-distance shooting.

The scope uses an aircraft-grade aluminium 34mm main tube for a robust yet practical platform. In addition, the ED-X optical system and fully multi-coated lenses support clarity and contrast in changing light.

Furthermore, the Oryx has an IPX7 waterproof rating and fogproof performance from -20°C to +50°C. It also carries a shock rating of up to 10,000g across 10,000 impacts. Therefore, the scope is designed for demanding outdoor and shooting conditions.

At 370mm long and 1,112g in weight, the Oryx is a substantial precision optic. For this reason, the rifle, mounting system and intended application should all be considered when selecting and mounting the scope.

Akra Oryx for Precision and Long-Range Shooting

The Akra Oryx 6-36×56 FFP MRAD suits PRS, URC, ELR, long-range hunting and precision shooting applications. In addition, the wide 6–36x magnification range allows the shooter to balance field of view and target detail according to distance.

The PN-001 reticle provides holdover and windage references without heavily obstructing the target. Meanwhile, the 0.1 MRAD turret adjustments allow precise corrections when dialing for distance.
